Good melodies as always, but I also notice the drums are perfectly balanced, and the mastering of other parts used to be your weak area, so it's good you've got that nailed.

All this needs is more... Depth. And maybe drum mastering. And MAYBE the ending leaves me a bit unsated.
But considering the lack of comments until now, I really enjoy this. The melodies are good and all parts work very well.
The drums were one of my negatives above, but I like the style and the actual sounds. The snare is very satisfying.
And as a last point, I really appreciate it when people put thought into naming tracks, which you've done here.

4.5+5 side-rating = 4.75 Average.

Depth... I think I might know what you mean, but I can't really explain it either. Sustained notes of the lower and middle register, maybe?

It's interesting that you brought up the ending, actually. Originally, I was toying around with the idea of making it a loop, and I made my decision very late into the song. Because of that, I changed the intro a bit and also created a somewhat unsatisfying ending. However, I stand by my choice. I'd rather have a somewhat unsatisfying ending to a full song than a strange, 3-minute loop.

I recently got my hands on a whole bunch of new drum sounds, and this was the first song I made with it, so I wasn't exactly sure how to implement them. I think I did a good job, though, and I'll definitely try to improve. I believe the word my friends used to describe the snares was "gunshots".

Thanks for commenting, FortressLord!

WELL, YOU WERE ANGRY!

I already reviewed this on Soundcloud, but there's no ratings out of a number, so 5!
Since I am doing this review anyway, is this your interpretation (not remix) of Knife Party's track?

I don't know fully what to say, but for a short piece this is very cool. Tension piece for a game or movie?

It was for a forum response in the collabs page, someone looking for a 80's throw back for a chase scene. they havent responded yet tho :-(

YES! That's good. You could be hired on to make a horror movie/game soundtrack with stuff like this!

Same opinions as last version, but now I like the guitar. Also, if the loop is new, it's very smooth.

rainheart666787 responds:

Cheers for the review dude, i am actually really happy with how this came out.

Sound quality sounds off in places, but I'm getting that out the way because this is awesome.
The sounds change throughout, there's an outro, good atmospherics and the beat is very well set out over the track. Nice work!
I'd like to hear this kind of smooth electronic-based music accompanying your emotion-fed guitar riffs.

WOW that's cinematic!
Also very atmospheric with good melodies. It could be my current mood, but this is awesome!!

Kreyowitz responds:

Hahah, thank you! I'm glad you like it in your current mood! Hopefully it sounds good when your in other moods as well!

Happy new year! *owl hoots*

I am VERY tired so my review may be all over the place, and I'll try to keep this short, but this piece is awesome with exceptional mastering and overall quality.
It could maybe use more bass, and that squeaky lead gets annoying/repetitive in places.
I do love this track though, and since I don't know where I'm going with this; Well done!

Lockyn responds:

Yup, that bass :c I'll keep that in mind, everybody is mentioning it LOL. That lead I KNOW it's hard to not get annoying but I tried my best D: Thanks very much FL! :D

I don't use Newgrounds much and I hate everything I made before maybe 2019. Thanks for being on my profile though!
