I really love this. Aside from Blue Oceans true constructive criticism, I love the atmosphere and editing, like that one intentional glitch-edit about 2/3 of the way in.

johnfn responds:

The truth is that that was actually a mistake - because I have the trial version of dblue glitch, it lost the original glitch I did. But I liked it enough to keep it in :) Thanks for the review!

What a strange tune. Not BAD, I can tell it's just that vibe...
The guitar note changes are kinda unexpected at places, the vocals have strange tones and the lyrics actually make sense. Dark, but they make sense.
It loses a bit of score for a few slight anticlimactic off-tune parts, but I do like this track overall, and the somber vibe is VERY effective.
Also, I'd like to say the riff at about 02:30 is awesome, and I also noticed the drums are clearer and more defined than they used to be, so I'm glad you've got the percussion nailed.

Cheers for the honest review, I am the first to admit that i am no singer, i had this tune in my head and had to get it down somewhere. i might rerecord this when i have a better singer to hand. glad you liked it none the less dude :-)

Smooth and nice with cool melody at 02:20, but I think lacks pace and bass overall and it's not quite Dance. Towards the end is very close, but not quite...
I've noticed you've tried a few times but have never heard it, so here is some Newgrounds links to help inspire and suggest! (If you want)

Thank you! Will dig into these shortly. :)

Very tuneful and clever with crazy smooth transitions. I am not in the mood for an in-depth review, but hopefully you can tell I like the track.
Also feels like the perfect length to keep that nice pace and interest.

Kreyowitz responds:

Hahah, Tuneful is one of the best ways to describe pretty much anything I do.

Thanks for the praise! :D

Awesome theme and melodies that go well together! Also a smooth flow and ending.
Reminds me of Metallica's gentler works.

Very christmassy (?) and has a nice bouncy beat to it.
Gets somewhat repetitive and I'm not sure what else, but I guess a review is a review.

I haven't heard the original but the melodies and timing are good and the volume control is very even. Nice one.

I'm in a strange enough mood to not want to type out a large review like usual, but I really like the piano melody, and that bass around 2:40 that reminds me of old synthpop in a good way. I also like the electronic hits and pads throughout.
Half a star is taken off for a few things, and most of the reasons I can't even identify, but helpfully I say that some of those windy sweeps can be too loud compared to the often quite dropdowns before them.

Also, it's weird you said you aren't knowledgable about other ways of making sounds. Not only is that not true (Bastion, which I've just remixed for myself, uses a single Tamba or something with effects to create large parts of the track) but also I am the opposite: I find I spend more time fiddling with synths than mastering, mixing, rendering and publishing combined!

Oh, and look, I've gone on and on for ages once again... Anyway I want to say as a last note that the combination of emotive arps and sounds at 01:00-ish is just brilliant. Not sure if I'm hinting to do that again, or just putting it out there.

Lockyn responds:

Haha, don't worry - I've been in that mood for a while. Especially since I haven't much time with finals... UGH

Old synthpop!? Awsum.

Haha, cools! I'm glad you think so about my sound making skills - it means I'm doing okay with my meager skills xD Synthing does take up a majority of the time - I find myself spending the most time on mixing and automation work, with mastering a close second.

Aww, thanks man :') Wow, you read my mind! ;) Want me to let you in on a secret? *scoots closer* I'm making a melodic dubstep VIP mix of this... WHOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO

Emotional and clean song, and then I read the description, which is nice. It's good to dedicate something.
The switches between parts are also a lot smoother than old tracks, which is a plus, and the ending is gradual, and the sudden endings wer a minus on some of your older tracks.

I've already listened to the Soundcloud version, and both are really cool with good melodies, mixing and overall fell. Very good song

Alloud responds:

Thanks! :3

I don't use Newgrounds much and I hate everything I made before maybe 2019. Thanks for being on my profile though!
